We are inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified, passionate and experienced educators to join our Nursing teaching team. Casual teaching opportunities are available across our Elgar (Box Hill), Lilydale and Melbourne CBD campuses. Please include your preferred location and employment type in your cover letter.

As a Nursing Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students through their Diploma of Nursing studies. Your work will contribute directly to positive learning experiences and strong education outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging vocational education and industry-aligned training in Nursing across classroom, simulated, and workplace environments.
  • Provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students
  • Support student success in the Diploma of Nursing course, supporting improved career and study pathways.
  • Assess student competency using compliant assessment tools and provide clear, timely and supportive feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with BHI standards and relevant regulatory obligations
  • Contribute to moderation, validation and continuous improvement activities within the teaching team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, compliance standards and the vocational education environment.
  • Strong industry experience and a passion for sharing knowledge with future allied health professionals.
  • Proven ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners from diverse backgrounds and emotional settings
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining vocational relevance.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
  • Minimum qualification in Bachelor of Nursing
  • Moderate experience in industry Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency
  • Ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
  • Ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment tools
